A spoon designed specifically for individuals with extreme oral hypersensitivity. Designed by Debra Beckman, MS, CCC-SLP, a speech pathologist with experience in oral-motor function. E-Z Spoon has a shallow blade to promote lip closure. It is small enough to prevent gagging, and the material is flexible to reduce the chance of injury to oral tissue if tonic bite occurs. The narrow handle allows the caregiver to easily place food to the side or corner of the mouth. Can also be used as durable tongue depressor. Materials and colors are FDA approved. 5" long.
